The scenery was fantastic as well as the weather (most days). I really enjoyed the camaraderie which developed within the group over the two weeks and the camping was well organised with good meals and good fun. Our walking and trekking trips

Centrally based holidays offer a relaxed way in which to enjoy numerous trails in one area, from the mountains and dramatic coastlines of mainland Europe to remote Atlantic islands. To show the relative difficulty of our trekking holidays, each trip is graded on a scale of 1 to 12, with 12 being the most challenging. In turn these grades are divided into YELLOW (Leisurely), GREEN (Moderate), BLUE (Challenging) and RED (Tough).

You will normally stay in small, family run accommodation and will fortify the inner soul as the locals do – with home grown foods and the best local wines. We loved the varied walking paths, from a broad track through tall conifers along the River Teign, walking near wild horses while climbing up various unique Tor… You will need to have insurance that will cover hiking and trekking in certain destinations up to a certain elevation (in the Himalayas, Peru, and a few other destinations that feature altitude hikes). But you won’t need any special insurance to cover technical activities. However, to be 100% certain your cover is adequate for the trip you’re doing, we suggest you talk to an insurer and present the planned itinerary of your chosen trip.
